how to Prepare Sweet ragi balls

Sweet Ragi balls are very healthy and easy to prepare sweets. This is a grandma Style recipe prepared in very short duration and good for health , rich in iron.

Ingredients Required

Ragi Flour 2 cups
Jaggery 1 cups
Ground Nut 2 cups
Salt pinch

Preparation Method
Mix the ragi flour with Salt and water and make it to small balls like we prepare for Chappathi.
Make each balls into circular shape as prepared for chappathi.
Toast in a Pan , make sure it is vell boiled and make it into small pieces.
Fry the ground nuts and then mix the small pieces of fried ragi with this ground nut and Jaggery in a mixie.
Make this into small balls and serve.

This is very healthy dish and can be stored upto 10 days. This sweet will be mostly liked by kids and husband.

How to prepare Sweet poli

Here with we have a different variety of Sweet Stuffed Paratha.. Sweet poli.

Ingredients

  1. Maidha floour    250g
  2. Kadalai Paruppu (Bengal Gram) – 250g
  3. Jaggery 250 g
  4. Cardamom (Yelakai) 6 pcs

Method of Preparation

  • Soak the Bengal Gram (kadalai Paruppu) in water for half an hour. Then Grind the dhal to a thick paste. Churn the Jaggery into small pieces and mix it with the Grinded Dhal.
  • Grind the Yelakai(Cardamom) into the form of powder and mix this also with the dhal and make the paste as small balls.
  • Now , take the Maidha and mix it with water to make it as thick paste. Keep this paste in the same stage for half an hour.Make sure the paste should be like we prepare for chappathi or Poori.
  • Take the maidha paste and make it to small balls.Take each balls and spread it as circular layer. Place the already prepared Dhall balls in the center of the Dhal mix and fold the layer in all corners and again press the ball to make a circular layer.
  • After everything is ready shallow fry them till it gets to little brown. Now the Sweet Poli is ready to eat… This is a short and sweet poli prepared in a quick time.

How to make Rava Kesari

In this post we are going to discuss on how to prepare Rava Kesari.Kesari is another one which can be prepared shortly and tasty. This sweet is not available in sweet stall or any shop.

 IngredientsRava Kesari

Rava    100g

Sugar   50g

Elachi   2

 Cashew 10

Dry Grapes 10

 

Method of Preparation

 Keep the frying pan on stove and pour 2 tbsp of Ghee, then add rava in the boiled and fry the rava in medium flame. Make sure the rava is not fried to brown color.

 

 Take another vessel and pour one glass of water, add pinch of salt and sugar into it. If require you can add some pinch of artificial color for appearance. Once the water is boiled fully add the already fried rava. 

Stir it well to avoid forming of balls in the kesari. Once the rava is boiled to an extent you can bring it down and then add fried cashew and grapes. 

Now the Rava Kesari is ready to serve and eat.

How to prepare Paruppu Payasam

Payasam ,

In south Indain dishes, we have more varitites of payasam and among all payasams ,Paruppu Payasam is a very special and favourite to all of us.Lets see the recepe and how to prepare paruppu Payasam.
    Ingredients 

Moong Dal: 100g
powdered jaggery : 100g
Cocounut -Graded : 2 Tsp
Green Cardamom : 2
Dry Grapes : 1tsp
Cashew : 1 tsp
Ghee (or fry)
vermicelli or rava : 2 tsp

Method of preparation

Soak the Moong Dal in water for 30 min, fry the vermicelli in Ghee till it becomes light brown and keep it aside.fry the Cashew and Dry Grapes in ghee and keep it aside this also. Now , boil the  moong dal with 2 glasses of water . Once the dal is boiled properly add the condamon after churning. Add the powdered jaggery and the vermicelli.

After all these are boiled properly stir it well and add the dry grapes and cashew.

Now the Hot Paruppu Payasam is ready to eat.This sweet can be made as quickly as possible in a very short span of time and as an emegency sweet for your guests.
