Ever wondered will we be able to make and attend the calls from our mobile phone with our eyes. Yes , we can make calls and attend the calls to our phone through the rotation of our eyes.
The scientists have unveiled a sample mobile phone in which the device has special electrodes that can works on the movement of the eye – attached to the earphones. This allows users to make and receive calls, and even play music, just by moving their eyes.
The earphone electrodes are able to read these changing currents – known as an electrooculogram (a record of the difference in electrical charge between the front and back of the eye that is correlated with eyeball movement (as in REM sleep) and obtained by electrodes placed on the skin near the eye) and the mobile phone is pre-programmed to translate the information into a command.
Eyes have “electrical potential” – positive at the cornea and negative at the retina – which changes depending on the movement of the eyeball.
Each movement of the eyes have an operation associated with it. This application works even when your eyes are closed.
We have to be careful to move our eyes from now on. A good revolution is expected to come. Let’s wait and see when this product will be launched in the market.
